Something UR Not is an electrifying punk-alternative rock band from California, driven by the vision of lead singer and songwriter Christopher Michaels. The band came together in April 2024, while Michaels and his business partner, Art Silva, were working a week-long gig with the Kyle Gass Band in Arizona—Michaels running sound and Silva handling booking. Their shared passion for music quickly attracted a lineup of talented musicians, shaping a sound that pushes boundaries.

The band's lineup features Christopher Michaels (lead vocals), Ben Wiles (lead guitar, backing vocals), Art Silva (rhythm/lead guitar/BACKING VOCALS), A.J. Silva (bass), Julian Antonio (keyboards, BACKING VOCALS), and Chris McGowan (drums). Each member brings their own unique influence, making Something UR Not a fresh force in the punk rock scene.

Their debut album, My Own Hell, showcases their raw energy and emotional depth. The standout single "Oh Baby!" debuted on February 14, 2025, and has already begun making waves, including airplay on New Rock 104.1 and stations across the Midwest.

More than just a band, Something UR Not is committed to making a difference. They use their platform to support charitable causes, including The Hope 4 Miles Foundation, founded by Michaels to aid the homeless. Through music and activism, they aim to inspire change—both on and off the stage.
